Hello! I'm Kai, I'm an international student from the Netherlands. I'm fluent in both English and Dutch and right now attending a Japanese language school in Shibuya to improve my Japanese. I'm an open and patient person, I enjoy teaching greatly and consider myself to have a good sense of language and am capable of teaching it in a natural way.
I do not have formal experience in teaching English, but I've tutored the children of friends of my parents which has improved their English significantly. I'm very passionate about the language and I plan to go to university for English literature.
I'm 19 years old, I grew up in Amsterdam speaking both Dutch and English with my parents, and I've also lived in Ireland for a year. I enjoy indoor bouldering, going for walks, and listening to music. I came to Tokyo in January and I will leave in June.
English, as the world language that it is, is everywhere. In spite lf this, it can be very hard to get a grasp off. I do believe that it can be learnt by anyone though, it just takes the right method and teacher.
To get on a level where you can have conversations, someone would probably have to study for about six months. Beside taking classes or turoring to study the vocabulary and grammar, immersion (whether it be watching televisions, listening to music or engaging with english speakers online or in real life) is incredibly important.
