Hello, my name is So Kuen. You may call me Suki. I am from Hong Kong.
After I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I spent 4 years in the aviation industry in the Middle East, where I encountered people from all around the globe.
I moved to Japan 4 years ago. I have been spending most of my time here teaching English. My students vary from toddlers to working professionals. I have also assisted students in achieving goals in Eiken and TOEIC.
My lessons will be focused on all aspects, including speaking (pronunciation correction), listening, writing as well as spelling.
No matter if you are a beginner in learning, or you would like to practice daily conversations. Feel free to contact me! It is never too late to start!! 😊
I would not say it is easy to learn Cantonese in Tokyo, because Japanese is still the main spoken language. However, the pronunciations of certain Japanese words do sound similar to Cantonese. Plus, we share some kanjis in common and it is easier to understand one another.
I believe it is not difficult to learn Cantonese in Tokyo, because there are actually quite a lot of people from Hong Kong living in this big city, let alone travellers. If anyone has the ambition to learn, it would be pretty easy to pick up.
