Hi! My name is Rachel.

I have 6+ years of teaching, my specialty is English (pronunciation, enunciate, grammar, speaking,and writing), English Literature, and secondary Sciences (Biology, Chemistry).

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Upper Honours) from the National University of Singapore, with a First Class Honours research. Also hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sydney, Australia, with several scientific academic and research publications.

I am currently actively tutoring English and Sciences to secondary students (GCSE, IGCSE, A level, and IB). I also teach Adult Professional English and do document proofreading and editing. I have written and produced educational content (English, Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) for secondary levels with a reputable Singapore education publisher.

Lessons are structured according to the syllabus and student learning requirements, with regular quizzes and mock tests uniquely tailored to monitor progress. I also employ interactive visual aids to aid concept understanding and enhance learning. For students with examinations, the focus is also on understanding concepts, exam coaching, and answering techniques.

I am a committed, responsible, and helpful teacher. Organized, conscientious, hardworking, with an approachable, pleasant personality that engages well with students.

I believe arming yourself with a good command of English is key to mastering other subjects and specialties, in addition to making your daily communication easy and effective.

I have always enjoyed teaching and empowering the next generation. I believe this process can be made engaging and fun for the students, which makes the learning journey even more effective.
