ESL teacher, Learn English Fast with Raluca in Rome

My name is Raluca Olaru and I am a certified ESL teacher from Canada with about 6 years of experience working both in the classroom and online. I’d been working as a Geologist for long enough to realize that I wanted to change my career. I am friendly, funny and patient. My hobbies are: travelling, hiking, taking photos,
dancing, snowboarding and reading.
For these reasons, in November 2014, I got my TESOL/TEFL certificate from Oxford Seminars, in Canada. At the beginning of 2015, I moved to Istanbul, Turkey. Since then, I've been teaching English kids of all ages and levels. I taught English in Turkey, Spain, and Romania. Since September 2019, I have been living and working in Italy. I believe kids need to enjoy having conversations with a teacher who guides them in lessons that are fun and interesting, with plenty of congratulations, corrections where necessary.
Moreover, I have experience preparing students for Cambridge exams from Starter all the way up to C1. I’m proud to say that not only did my students pass the exams, but they also got high scores.
I love to teach English and share my knowledge of western culture with young learners.
