Private English Tutor in Leipzig and Online
I teach English
English is my first language, and I’ve been teaching it for over five years, mostly at GCSE level, but I also help with general speaking, writing, and grammar. I’m a Physics graduate from Universität Leipzig and currently doing my MSc in Physics, so I teach Physics and Maths too. I like breaking complex topics down into simple, logical steps, and find it genuinely satisfying when a student finally understands something they have been struggling with. Outside of academics, I’m a sports coach, so I’m used to adapting my approach to different people and skill levels.
Frequently Asked Questions
How easy is it to learn English in Leipzig?
Learning English in Leipzig is quite easy because the city is very international. There are many expats, English-speaking meetups, and international companies. Since most locals already have a basic school-level foundation, you can practice English in daily life. The main challenge is that people often switch to German once they hear an accent, so you have to be proactive about practicing.
Is it difficult to learn English in Leipzig?
It is not difficult, but it requires consistency. Because Leipzig is in Germany, you are surrounded by German rather than English. However, the city has a strong expat community and plenty of English-language events, libraries, and university programs. With a good tutor and regular practice, students can progress quickly. The hardest part is usually finding enough opportunities to speak English outside the classroom.
