Private English Tutor in Florence and Online

I am a 28 year old opera singer and teacher originally from California but based in Florence since 2020. I pursue a career in opera, but also have a background in teaching voice, piano and English tutoring. I have a Bachelor's and Master's of Music from Manhattan School of Music in New York City, and throughout my 7 years living there began my singing teaching. Since being in Florence, I have balanced being a professional opera singer as well as teaching English to students aged 5-45. I always try to incorporate music as a part of my teaching- both as an aural tool and a way to have fun whilst learning!

It sure can be, if you put in lots of hard work and focus! In my teaching I aim for my students to have fun, and feel open with me in order to create an environment of judgement-free learning.

Is it difficult to learn English in Florence?

Lots of people speak English in Florence, but not many speak it grammatically accurately. I aim to bridge that gap. However, it is a great city to practice English as there are many English-speaking tourists!

I live near the American Embassy in Florence in Borgo Ognissanti. I generally do my private teaching work online, from my own apartment or at the home of the student. I am available to teach anywhere in the Florence area reachable by foot, tram, bus or train. In addition, I have access to the Palazzo Corsini as a part-time teaching space.
