I teach speaking — not grammar.

I offer American English speaking training for people who do not simply want to know English well, but want to speak it naturally and confidently. My own method is based not on textbooks and rules, but on real, natural communication.

In my experience, many people have studied English for years and may even have language certificates, yet still find it difficult to speak freely in an international working environment. This is especially noticeable in meetings, negotiations, interviews and spontaneous business conversations, where there is no time to translate or construct sentences in your head. I help remove this barrier in a relaxed American English environment, where students learn to communicate in practice rather than in theory.

About me:

I grew up and went to school in Toronto, Canada, and I have been teaching English for more than 15 years. I also work in international business, so business communication is something I know from practice, not only from teaching. As a jazz musician, I have brought much of what I learned through music into language teaching: listening, reacting, improvising and developing your own style — consciously, but freely.
