Hi, my name is Desmond, or you can call me Des. I’m a native English speaker from Australia living in Amman now. I have a master’s degree in social sciences and have worked in international migration for the past ten years. I have taught English to speakers of other languages before, with a range of levels from beginners to advanced.
In those years, I found the easiest way to learn English is the way that works for you, and that no two students are the same.
Generally I have found that a focus on speaking and comprehension in conversation tends to have the better results, while a focus on grammar structures and rote learning of words has poorer results for most people. I look forward to meeting you and helping build your confidence in English.

No, there are plenty of opportunities to speak English in Amman. Also as English is the biggest language in media there is always lots to read, watch or listen to.
