Bringing a feel for the language and history of the Low Countries, and thanks to my extensive personal coaching experience, I propose that together we explore and discover the Dutch language in a systematic but lively approach. Depending on the student’s preference or priorities, we may touch upon the language of journalism and current affairs, politics and public affairs, contractual and legal lingo, science and technology, or why not: the world of society and entertainment in Flanders and the Netherlands.

What is the easiest way to learn Dutch in Bruxelles?
For learning Dutch, there may be “an easiest way” for YOU, which is certain to be different from someone else’s. But we will have to find out together what approach best suits your aims and expectations.
Do you already speak a Germanic language, such as English, German or a Scandinavian language? Then you will find the going easier. Coming from a different linguistic background? Never fear: as with any new language you want to learn, motivation is essential. And the key to that is having fun learning it. So, finding the way which helps you to really enjoy the work (and I assure you that this is not a contradiction) will be our common challenge.
How much time does it take to learn Dutch in Bruxelles?
Talking like a native takes a native speaker of any language a lifetime. Writing is a different story yet again. You will be “up and walking” in a few weeks or months. “Up and running” will require several more months. Attaining fluency may take 2 years. In case you are prepared to dedicate extra focus and effort, you will speed up your progress. And if you are actually steeped in the language in your home, school or working environment, or if you actively pursue taking part in events where mainly Dutch is used (distancing rules permitting), taking time to watch Dutch language movies or TV, you are of course certain to bounce forward much more quickly.
