(Not taking in any students from other levels.)

Experience:
-4 years of language teaching experience to Non-Chinese speakers
-3 years of teaching experience in MOE kindergarten
-Currently a full time online tutor

Qualifications:
-Masters in Teaching Chinese as an International Language ( NIE)
-Bachelor in Arts of Chinese (NTU)
-Diploma in Early childhood education
-CTCSOL (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages)

Teaching Specialization:
-Conversational Chinese ( Specilaise in teaching Children )
-Chinese tuition for Lower primary school students ( following MOE Syllabus)

How much time does it take to learn Chinese / Mandarin in Singapore?

I really do not like to compare my students, because, everybody is unique in their own way, so there won't be a best method or fastest route to master a language.
Some individuals have flair in language and can pick it up easily at the beginning, others might take more effort to learn, but it doesn't really matter as learning is a lifelong journey. so learn at your own comfortable pace!

I personally feel that the "humility to learn" is far more important than how fast you can learn =)

My two kids have been with ying for the past two years and I must say that ying is really a dedicated teacher who comes up with interesting lessons that fuel my kids' passion in learning mandarin. I really hope that ying could continue teaching my kids till they are old enough 😉

Yinghui is a very friendly and engaging teacher. My boy was enrolled in Chinese classes in the typical language schools but it didn’t work for him. He couldn’t catch up and tend to dream away. Yinghui’s classes are virtual and at about 45min each session. It is short enough for him to stay focused and pay attention. Yinghui prepares mini assignments for his revisions. This is very helpful and different from the typical homework and 听写 from classes. My objective when engaging Yinghui was to spur my boy’s interest in Chinese language. Now 3 mths into it, I see improvements and my boy start peppering more Chinese into his conversations too. Thanks Yinghui! 👍🏻👍🏻

Ying is really a nice and professional teacher who knows what she is teaching. I was just looking for a online Chinese tutor for my kids during the circuit breaker period. But ended up learning Chinese from her as well. I have decided to let my kids stick with her even after the CB ends. 谢谢你！
