Teaching Philosophy & Experience
I am a native Chinese-speaking educator with professional training in Chinese Language Teaching and extensive experience teaching students in Singapore.
My teaching goes beyond memorisation and repetitive drilling. I focus on helping students understand how the Chinese language works, develop stronger language confidence, and acquire examination strategies suited to their individual learning needs.
My interest in Chinese language education has also led me to research and present on Chinese character learning, including the seminar 《汉字中的谜、密、秘》, as well as publishing a Chinese character learning book in 2013.
Over the years, I have taught students from a wide range of cultural and educational backgrounds, including learners from Singapore, the United States, Australia, Russia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and India.
