I am Meiling, an experienced Chinese teacher from Taiwan, with a bachelors degree from Kaohsiung Normal University and a masters' from the University of Warwick in the UK, majoring in Language teaching. I've had more than 10 years experience in both Chinese Mandarin (simplified and traditional) and English teaching, to students of different ages.

I provide personalized lessons tailored to your requirements and ability, as well as learning materials to help you systematically achieve your goal, whether it be for professional development or for personal interest.

Lessons can be in person (Flat Bush, Auckland) or over the Internet using Zoom, and can be one-to-one or for small classes (a different charge applies for more than one student at a time).

Learning Chinese is easy - there is no complex grammar, and pronunciation is relatively simple. The writing is conceptually built upon images and so over time you will constructed a solid foundation and gradually progress to writing sentences and atricles.

Is it difficult to learn Chinese / Mandarin in Auckland?

There are several language classes available in Auckland, but travel is time consuming, and finding a qualified and experienced teacher who is willing to do one-to-one tuition is more difficult. I can provide lessons using Zoom if travel is an issue, and have the necessary skills, qualifications and experience to make your learning easier.
