I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan until I was 14 when I moved to New Zealand to study high school and University. Learning a new language is never easy. However, it will help a lot if you learn it with someone with teaching and language learning experience. Being a second language speaker in NZ, I totally understand how hard it is to learn a new language and the common difficulties learners often encounter in the journey. I believe that learning a language should be a fun and enjoyable journey and the main purpose is to be able to use it and communicate with others.
