Hello! My name is Nell and I am a young adult from South Africa. I am here to help anyone who is looking to improve their Afrikaans conversation skills. I am available to anyone, whether you're a complete beginner and only have a limited vocabulary or if you can already speak it and just need someone to practice with.
I graduated from high school at the top of my grade and ranked 6th in academics nationally. I already have a lot of prior tutoring experience, specifically when it comes to helping beginners learn and understand the fundamentals of Afrikaans.
Afrikaans is much easier to learn than one might expect. The grammar is straightforward, and much of the vocabulary is quite similar to English and other Germanic languages. I hope to provide a relaxed environment where you can feel comfortable making mistakes and not feel the normal pressure of being in a structured and formal class.

Although everyone learns at their own pace, I think one can quickly learn the fundamentals and be able to have a basic conversation in Afrikaans. Everything depends on the effort put in and the amount of the language that you are exposed to in your day-to-day.
