I am a dedicated and passionate Language Practitioner with a solid academic background and four years of hands-on experience in tutoring isiZulu and English. I hold a Degree in Languages, specializing in Translation and Interpretation with a focus on isiZulu and English. My journey in languages has not only been academic, but also deeply personal, as I believe language is the key to connection, understanding, and opportunity.

For the past four years, I have been tutoring learners from different levels — from primary school learners to high school learners and even adults who want to improve their grammar and communication skills. My main focus has been on Grammar, because I have realized that grammar is the foundation of any language. Once a learner understands how sentences are built, how tenses work, and how to use words correctly, everything else becomes easier. I teach both isiZulu and English grammar in a simple, practical, and patient way that makes learners feel confident rather than overwhelmed.

In isiZulu, I help learners who struggle with understanding, writing, and speaking the language, especially those who did not grow up speaking it at home but need it for school or work. I cover everything from ukwakheka kwemisho, izinhlobo zamagama, izikhathi, izaga, to essay writing and comprehension. Many of my learners have improved from failing to passing with distinction because I teach them to love the language, not just to memorize it.

In English, I focus on grammar rules, sentence construction, tenses, parts of speech, punctuation, comprehension, and essay writing. I have worked with learners who had difficulty expressing themselves in English, and I have helped them to write clearly, speak confidently, and understand what they read. My approach is always learner-centered — I first assess where the learner is struggling, then I create a plan that suits their pace and learning style.

My degree in Translation and Interpretation has given me a deeper understanding of both isiZulu and English beyond the classroom. As a translator and interpreter, I am trained to understand the meaning, culture, and context behind words, not just direct translation. This skill helps me to explain languages in a way that learners can relate to. I can switch between languages easily, making it easier for learners who are bilingual or who understand better when something is explained in their home language.

I am not just a tutor; I am a mentor. I am patient, reliable, and I genuinely care about the progress of each learner I work with. I believe every learner can excel if they are taught with patience and the right method. My goal is not just to help learners pass exams, but to help them become confident communicators who can use isiZulu and English effectively in real life.
