Private Yoruba Tutor in Lagos and Online

Native Yoruba Tutor | Fun Online Lessons for All Levels

Hello! I am a native Yoruba speaker from Nigeria with real teaching experience. I help students of all ages and levels — beginners, intermediate, and advanced — learn Yoruba in a fun, natural, and conversational way.

My lessons focus on real-life speaking, listening, and cultural understanding. We practice everyday conversations, greetings, storytelling, proverbs, songs, and important Yoruba traditions so you don’t just learn the language — you feel the culture too.

I teach completely online (Zoom, Google Meet, or WhatsApp video), so students from any country are welcome. Whether you want to connect with family, travel, study, or simply enjoy the beauty of the Yoruba language and culture, I will make the classes enjoyable, patient, and practical.

I believe the best way to learn is through conversation and immersion. In every lesson, we talk a lot, laugh a lot, and use the language in real situations. No boring textbooks — just natural progress at your own pace.

I am happy to teach children, teenagers, and adults. Let’s start your Yoruba journey together!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the easiest way to learn Yoruba in Lagos?

The easiest way is through regular conversation practice with a native speaker. Focus on speaking and listening first, learn useful daily phrases, and connect the language to Yoruba culture (greetings, stories, songs, and traditions). Online lessons make this possible from anywhere, including for people living in Lagos or abroad.

How much time does it take to learn Yoruba in Lagos?

It depends on your goals and how often you practice. With consistent lessons (2–3 times a week) and daily practice, most beginners can hold basic conversations in 2–3 months. Reaching intermediate level usually takes 6–12 months. Everyone progresses at their own pace — I adapt the lessons so you improve steadily and enjoy the process.
