Wamkelekile! I'm a native Xhosa speaker with professional communication training. I teach practical, real-world Xhosa with a focus on pronunciation (clicks included), greetings, and everyday conversation.
Is Xhosa easy? The grammar is logical. Clicks take practice – most students master them in 2 or 3 lessons. Basic greetings in 1 lesson. Simple conversations in a few weeks.
Patient, encouraging, and results-driven practice conversation is the key to success. That and a positive can do attitude
The easiest way to learn any language is to converse with native speakers. Xhosa speakers are naturally eager to share this melodic and colorful language
No, the most difficult part is pronouncing the 'clicks', but those are easy to fix with practical oral coaching. In Xhosa we say "ulwimi maluqine", which means " your tongue must be hard". It’s about getting the orientation and the rest is somewhat easy
