Private Vietnamese Tutor in Kaohsiung City and Online

Hello! My name is Tram Nguyen, and I am a native Vietnamese speaker with over 7 years of experience teaching English and 3 years of experience teaching Vietnamese to students from Taiwan, Hong Kong, the U.S., Australia, Singapore, and many other countries.

I hold a TESOL certification, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Vietnam), a Master’s degree in Industrial Management (Taiwan), and a post-graduate program in Sales and Business (Singapore). In addition, I have a Certificate of Professional and Pedagogical Knowledge and Skills, which allows me to design highly effective lessons tailored to different learning goals.

Over the years, I have developed specialized teaching methods for Taiwanese and international learners, focusing on clear explanations, cultural context, and confidence-building communication practice. My lessons are interactive, personalized, and practical, making them ideal for both beginners and intermediate learners.

Beyond teaching, I love traveling, cooking, and exploring new cultures—which often brings extra insights and fun into my classes.

❓ FAQ: Learning Vietnamese

1. How easy is it to learn Vietnamese?
Vietnamese may look challenging at first because of its tones, but once students get used to the sound system, they find it surprisingly logical and consistent. Many learners say it’s easier than they expected!

2. What is the easiest way to learn Vietnamese?
The easiest way is through daily practice and real-life communication. I use examples from everyday life, family, travel, and work to help students speak naturally. Learning with a native teacher also helps you understand pronunciation and culture faster.

3. Is Vietnamese easy to learn?
Yes—and no. The grammar is actually simpler than many languages (no verb conjugations, no plural/singular changes), which makes it easier. The tones take practice, but once you train your ear, it becomes much easier to master.

4. Is it difficult to learn Vietnamese?
It can feel difficult in the beginning if you try to learn only through textbooks. But with guidance, patience, and consistent speaking practice, students usually progress quickly and start communicating within a few weeks.

5. How much time does it take to learn Vietnamese?
This depends on your goals.
• If you want to speak basic sentences for travel, you can do it in just 1–3 months with regular practice.
• To reach conversational fluency, it usually takes around 6–12 months of consistent learning.
• Mastery takes longer, but step by step, it’s very achievable.
