ONLINE LESSONS ONLY - As a skilled and enthusiastic Vietnamese instructor with a decade of experience teaching English-speaking university students and professionals in Vietnam as well as university students at the University of Wisconsin–Madison for an intensive summer program in 2019 and 2014, I am eager to work with international students in a manner that promotes Vietnamese cultural understanding through language retention and eventual fluency. My background, commitment to the field of Southeast Asian language pedagogy, and experience in proficiency–based and communicative language teaching as well as materials development and curriculum design position me to affect positively.
I earned a Master’s degree in Linguistics and a certificate in pedagogy from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam. Further, my formal and practical training in English has allowed me to pursue a career in planning and leading Vietnamese language and culture courses for native English speakers with measurable results.
