Want to speak Vietnamese—not just study it? Let’s make Vietnamese practical from your very first lesson!
I’m a native Vietnamese teacher with 14+ years of experience teaching Vietnamese to foreign learners. I hold a Master’s degree in Linguistics from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, as well as a teaching certificate.
Over the years, I’ve taught students from different countries, backgrounds, and age groups—from kids to learners in their 70s. This experience has helped me understand that every learner has different challenges, learning styles, and goals.
One of my strengths is understanding the common mistakes foreigners make when speaking Vietnamese, especially with pronunciation, tones, vocabulary, and sentence patterns. I can explain these difficulties in a clear and easy-to-understand way, so you know not only what is wrong, but also how to correct it.
I’m a patient, supportive, and enthusiastic teacher. I encourage students to speak, make mistakes, and try again without feeling embarrassed. My goal is to help you improve step by step and become more accurate, more natural, and more confident when speaking Vietnamese.
My lessons focus on Vietnamese you can actually use in real life. Depending on your goals, we can work on:
🇻🇳 Vietnamese for Beginners
🗣️ Speaking & Conversation
🔊 Pronunciation and Vietnamese Tones
💼 Vietnamese for Work and Daily Life
✈️ Vietnamese for Travel and Living in Vietnam
📝 Vietnamese Proficiency Exam Preparation
Whether you are starting from zero or already know some Vietnamese, I will adapt the lessons to your level, goals, interests, and learning pace.
I don’t want you to simply memorize Vietnamese.
I want you to understand it, use it, and feel confident speaking it.
Vietnamese may be easier than you think! 😊
Vietnamese uses the Latin alphabet and has a relatively simple sentence structure, with some similarities to English: Subject + Verb + Object. Verbs do not change according to tense, so you don’t need to conjugate verbs when talking about the past, present, or future.
Once you learn the alphabet, basic pronunciation, and tones, you can start reading and speaking Vietnamese from your very first lessons.
Pronunciation and tones can be challenging at first, but you don’t need to worry about making mistakes. With more than 14 years of experience teaching Vietnamese to foreign learners, I’ll help you improve your pronunciation, understand Vietnamese tones, and practice the natural Vietnamese that people actually use in everyday life.
You don’t need to speak Vietnamese perfectly when you’re just starting out. You just need to start speaking — and I’ll help you improve step by step! 🌱
If you live in Hanoi, you have countless opportunities to practice Vietnamese every day—in cafés, restaurants, markets, shops, workplaces, and with local people.
I teach Standard Northern Vietnamese, while also helping students understand common expressions and differences they may encounter in other regions of Vietnam.
