I hold a bachelor’s degree and a PhD in Urdu Language and Literature, alongside a master’s degree in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language. As a philologist and certified instructor, I specialize in teaching Turkish to foreign students and work professionally as a freelance translator. I teach Turkish online and in person to students from different countries. Drawing on my expertise in linguistics, I use comparative methods and cultural examples to help learners grasp the language more effectively. I design programs that develop listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I plan lessons according to each student’s goals and level, and I also provide preparation for Turkish language exams.
Learning Turkish in Ankara is uniquely balanced: while Turkish grammar has a natural learning curve, Ankara provides an ideal, distraction-free environment. As an administrative and university city, it offers focused academic instruction and authentic daily immersion without the heavy tourist distractions of larger metropolises.
The Challenge: Turkish is structurally distinct (agglutinative grammar), requiring a shift in thinking at first.
The Advantage: Ankara is a calm, university-focused city rather than a tourist hub. This means fewer temptations to use English, more genuine opportunities to practice, and access to experienced educators in a structured environment.
