How easy is it to learn Thai in Bangkok?

Learning a new language needs time, effort and.. the right techniques!

For beginners, I recommend starting with a listening and speaking course first. Skip the piles of alphabets and vowels for now. Get to know Thai 5 intonations (middle, …, low…, falling …, high… and rising….) and practise through listening and speaking with romanization first.

Aim on learning the most used vocabularies, learn how the sentences work, practice listening and learn how to speak it correctly.

The books have photos and I use flashcards as a tool to help you remember better. For example: sa was dee ka, khob khun ka

We will review the words from the previous chapter before continuing the new one. And we will always use old words to combine in building sentences with new words so they are never left behind! You will also get a voice over in each class to use it for reviewing by yourself as well.

That’s how you can really adapt theory into practice. And then you can start learning by reading and writing when you feel ready. In the writing course, it was also designed to make it easier for the students to learn.

We will not just spend hours and hours on remembering all alphabets and vowels but learn from what is easiest first. You will gradually understand and remember them in a natural way.
