Motivate and stimulate a child s learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience
Provide care and support to children within a secure learning environment
Assist with the development of a child s personal, social, language, and physical coordination abilities
Develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources
Encourage mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play
To help develop good practice in the kindergarten through sharing expertise, experience, and resources.
Keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practices.
To observe and assess children and to maintain accurate records of their progress in line with the school s agreed methods and to communicate this information clearly and regularly to parents and subsequent teachers
Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery or school
Work with others, including teaching assistants as well as caregivers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoors
To teach a timetable, carry out staff duties, and actively support co-curricular program
Prepare lessons and data required for inspections and other accreditation bodies
To provide an enabling class environment that has resources and areas which will stimulate, promote wonder and encourage creative play
To share children s learning in different ways, including displays, learning journeys, shows, and presentations
To maintain a professional relationship with both colleagues and parents and to promote the school s best interests both in and out of working hours
Ensure that all communication is acted upon appropriately and in a timely manner
Work as a contributing member of the team by attending and participating in meetings and discussions as necessary, being fully committed to personal and professional development, and generally keeping up to date with new initiatives
To carry out any reasonable professional request made by the Head of Early Years from time to time as required
