I’m Sebastian and originally from Colombia. Colombian Spanish is typically considered one of the clearest accents (and loveliest, but I may just bias) to follow so figured I can help teach as much and give you a good base as well I giving you tidbits on region-specific slang if you’re headed somewhere speaking Spanish (trust me.. it could make all the difference). However, I was raised in my later years (still speaking Spanish at home) so hopefully the clarity in my English can even be of assistance in translation

Should be fairly easy if you know what events to go to or connect with the countless latin foreigners visiting out city
Is Spanish easy to learn?
I would say so.. if you grew up only speaking english in canada it may be useful to know that it is similar grammar and structure to french but just with the new set of words clearly
