Hi! I'm Yhira, a Spanish teacher from Colombia. I have a Master’s degree in Education, and I love helping people learn languages. My classes are fun, interactive, and made just for you. From the first lesson, you’ll start speaking with confidence! I use simple grammar, real-life conversations, games, and role-plays to help you learn and enjoy the process.
I have more than five years of experience teaching Spanish and English to both adults and young people. I’ve also helped other teachers improve their lessons using technology.
Since I’ve also learned other languages, I understand how hard it can be—but don’t worry, I’ll be with you every step of the way. I’d love to see you in class!
Spanish is often considered one of the easiest languages to learn, thanks to its many similarities with English and straightforward pronunciation (what you write is what you pronounce). With thousands of shared words (cognates), learners can quickly build vocabulary, and its spelling and pronunciation rules are refreshingly consistent. While the grammar, especially verb conjugations and noun genders, may initially present challenges, they quickly become manageable with regular practice.
You can speak Spanish right from the first lesson and start building up you level!
The time it takes to learn Spanish in Prague depends on several key factors, such as your goals, previous language-learning experience, practice frequency, and the intensity of your courses.
Generally, here's what you can expect to reach a A2 level:
1. Basic Conversational Level (A1–A2)
Timeframe: ~3–6 months
Frequency: 1–2 classes per week + regular practice
Outcome: You'll manage basic conversations, travel-related interactions, and everyday expressions.
