I grew up with Spanish, that's why it's my mother tongue :) I know it's quite difficult to learn a different language, I'm a foreigner in Norway hah but you can learn it while being involved in your day to day life. Speaking Spanish may seem impossible but it's not! Learning a few words will help you to make yourself understood in Spanish speaking countries and you will be able to understand a basic conversation. With motivation, songs, movie subtitles, and basic resources depending on the subject matter we can make it fun to learn.
My methodology is similar to how we foreigners learn Norwegian, no teacher uses any language other than Norwegian and that's what I do... zero Norwegian and zero English! ONLY SPANISH. If you are interested it would be great and useful to learn Spanish.
And finally spanish speaking countries value incredibly good the effort that a non native speaker can do for make themselves be understood. So no worries, or yes you decide.
