I'm Mexican and for that reason my native tongue is Spanish but I also speak English since I have taken private classes for more than two years to learn English, so in case you have to speak English to communicate it will be no problem. I can tell you that learning Spanish can be easier than English since the vocals in Spanish always sound the same but in English the sound of the vocals can be different depending on the word and the verbs in English can change depending on the time like go/went but in Spanish rarely that happens.
Yes, it's easy because the verbs usually start with the same structure and change at the end depending on the subject or the time but in English can be a complete different word, for example: go/went, sink/sunk, sing/sung, etc.
