Hello! I’m Rafael, a native Spanish teacher with a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language (Universidad Nebrija, Spain) and more than 29 years of experience teaching students from around the world.

The challenge comes later, with verb conjugations and the subjunctive, but with a clear plan and regular speaking practice, steady progress comes faster than most students expect.
How much time does it take to learn Spanish in Houston?
It depends on your starting level, your goals, and how often you practice. With two or three classes per week plus a little daily practice, most students can hold basic conversations in 3 to 6 months and speak comfortably about everyday topics in 12 to 18 months. Online classes with me let you learn from anywhere, so you can practice consistently without commuting.
