Private Spanish Tutor in Calgary and Online

Spanish Tutor – Education, Experience, and Teaching Approach

I graduated in Performing Arts in Venezuela and have extensive experience in theatre, education, and language instruction. I have worked as an Artist in Residence at bilingual schools in Calgary and Edmonton, teaching drama in Spanish in Catholic, public, and private school settings. This experience has allowed me to combine my passion for the arts with language learning, creating engaging and meaningful educational experiences for students.

I have extensive experience tutoring Spanish to both children and adults, adapting my teaching methods to each student’s age, language level, interests, and learning goals. My teaching approach is interactive, practical, and creative. I incorporate real-life situations, games, conversations, role-playing, scene dramatization, and cultural activities to help students develop confidence and communicate naturally in Spanish.

My lessons focus on developing all four essential language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I also introduce students to the richness of Spanish-speaking cultures, helping them connect language learning with everyday life, travel, and cultural understanding.

I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable, encouraging, and relevant to each student’s needs. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and progressing at their own pace.

My availability is flexible, and I can easily adapt my schedule to accommodate students’ needs and preferences.
