Have you studied Spanish for years but still freeze when it’s time to actually speak?
Maybe you understand grammar, know a lot of vocabulary, and can complete exercises — but in a real conversation, you still translate everything in your head, hesitate, or struggle to express yourself naturally.
That’s exactly what I help my students overcome.
Hi! I’m Florencia, a certified native Spanish teacher from Argentina with 10 years of experience teaching students from all over the world.
My classes are based on what I call guided conversation: we use real, interesting conversations to help you start thinking in Spanish instead of translating into Spanish.
But this isn’t just casual conversation practice. I bring structure to each lesson, identify the patterns behind your mistakes, and help you understand the logic of the language so you can use Spanish more intuitively.
My approach is influenced by cognitive grammar, which means less memorizing endless rules and more understanding why Spanish works the way it does. During our conversations, I give you corrections via chat, and we review the most important errors together so you can actually learn from them.
My background in Philosophy also shapes my teaching style. I love bringing interesting questions and unexpected topics into class, so you’re not just practicing Spanish — you’re actually having conversations you want to participate in. My students often tell me that my lessons are engaging and that time goes by very quickly.
I can help you if you want to:
- stop freezing when you speak Spanish
- become more fluent and spontaneous
- understand grammar instead of just memorizing rules
- feel more confident in real-life conversations
- improve your Spanish for travel, work, relationships, or everyday life
I use my own teaching materials and adapt each lesson to your level, interests, and goals. We focus mainly on communication during class, and I can provide writing assignments or additional exercises afterward when useful.
I hold an international certification in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, as well as a specialization in Philosophy for Children.
And if you like talking about psychology, philosophy, cinema, culture, travel, human behavior — or cats — we’ll probably have plenty to talk about. :)
My goal is simple: to help you stop “studying Spanish” and start actually using it.
My approach is communicative and I specialize in cognitive grammar. If you want to learn Spanish, you have to first learn to communicate with the tools you have available. With time and focus on the conversation, you will gain more vocabulary and confidence. I will help you in this process with the necessary explanations and corrections, I will stimulate interest in the language and culture. You will get the level of Spanish you want :) Remember that lessons are the basis of your learning, but you have to fill your world with Spanish (podcasts, local friends, movies, etc.)
It depends on what your native language is. If it is English, for example, we are going to have a common language to start getting closer to Spanish, at first, it is a challenge, but when you start to "think" in Spanish and are motivated by dynamic and constructivist teaching, you are going to fall in love with the language.
If you speak Portuguese or Italian, the difficult part is differentiating both languages and working on specific grammatical and phonetic differences.
The reality is that your lessons have to motivate you to learn more, to build confidence, I am here to help you with that.
