Hola! I am a native Spanish speaker. I am an Industrial Engineer, currently working in both things I'm passionate about, as an Engineer and a Spanish tutor. In the past, I have worked for over 14 years in radio, as a host, producer, and DJ and I also did dubbing for a couple of American series. The owner of Spanish is Loco 😜. I love talking to people, getting to know more cultures, and sharing experiences and that's why I am so happy to tutor Spanish because it allows me to meet people from different cultures, share stories, learn from each other, etc.

How much time does it take to learn Spanish in Brisbane?

Depends on classes and effort, let's say you do one hour a week and practice that lesson, without books or anything too overwhelming, I would say you could be intermediate in about a year, however, this depends on the level of interest you have and how much passion and time you dedicate to it

I highly recommend my tutor, Mazi. She is super patient, encouraging, and she explains things very clearly. Every lesson is enjoyable. I always feel more confident speaking Spanish after class. Learning with her has been a wonderful experience, and I can not wait to speak it fully.

Such good vibes learning Spanish with Maziel! Really lovely person and really explains things clearly! She also is really adaptable and adjusts to your goals or preferences (eg Latin Spanish vs Mexico etc) but also has lessons and exercises prepared and printed for every lesson! Can’t recommend highly enough !!

I wanted to take a moment to thank my Spanish teacher, Maziel who has a highly engaging style, provides good structure and has an easy-to-use platform to make learning enjoyable. One of the things I really like is Maziel provides great context and background to help me better understand the language and cultural context which makes my learning experience more meaningful. I also appreciate her proficiency in English. Overall, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch Spanish teacher.

Maziel has been tutoring me for about 3-4 months now. She is a great teacher! I feel like I’m progressing well with my Spanish. I find the way Maz structures lessons will suit anyone and is flexible in the pace she teaches depending on what her students require. The lessons are engaging and relaxed. She is also willing to help outside of our lessons whenever I have issues while studying. I feel like I’m learning something about her culture as well as the language through our sessions and am excited to continue having her as my tutor! Highly recommend! :)

I have been seeing Maziel for a couple of months now and I have to say she has been one of the best teachers in teaching me Spanish. Maziel is super patient and she breaks it down into ways that I can understand. Maziel has never let me down and always does what she says she's gonna do. She is always going above and beyond to help me get through the next step and never hesitates to answer any questions i have. Through her teachings I have gone further then what I thought I would as she makes it super fun. I feel really lucky to have met someone like Maziel to help me on this journey. She is truly one of a kind.
