My name is Tina, and by profession, I’m actually a physiotherapist, with more than 3 years of clinical experience, experience in leading group therapeutic exercises & yoga, behavioral therapy, and experience in developing nutrition programs. I have good communication skills and as a native speaker of the Slovenian language, I can help you learn Slovenian by discussing different topics and correcting your pronunciation (discussion in English/Slovenian). As previously a lead physiotherapist, I have many experiences with speeches and leading groups.
I know how important it is that a person feel confident in their work and know how to approach a problem from multiple angles.
I would say learning Slovenian is pretty difficult, could rate it between 7-8 out of 10 on the scale. Especially for English speakers, it can be very difficult due to its complex grammar and unfamiliar vocabulary. However, with dedication and consistent practice, it is definitely achievable. Like any language, the difficulty of learning Slovenian depends on your previous language learning experience, your motivation, and the resources available to you. Immersion in the language and culture can also greatly aid the learning process.
It really depends on your previous language learning experience, your motivation, and the resources available to you. You can learn a lot in a couple of months of very dedicated learning, provided you are in the company of native speakers. Otherwise, a year should be enough for a basic conversation (but learning every day).
