Growing up in a township, l noticed a plethora of problems many people go through. This made me pursue a degree in social work since I am very passionate about helping others, especially the disadvantaged. I have also realized that social work is not just a profession to me but it is a calling and that's what I enjoy doing. I have dedicated myself to helping others regardless of their background, race, age, etc.
However, during my spare time, l enjoy sharing with others what I know and what I have learned in my day-to-day endeavors. I am also a very good and active listener, empathetic and l have acquired good communication skills throughout my career. Therefore, teaching my mother language will be fulfilling since I enjoy teaching others and sharing my knowledge with others. I was one of the best students in Shona's classes during the Ordinary Level, and eventually, I obtained an A in my final examination. Besides teaching language, l also enjoy teaching business studies.
I use practical and real-life situations! I can guarantee you that learning Shona is really simple, fast and easy. Once l teach you Shona, you will speak it with confidence.
Thirty minutes to an hour a day is a good starting point to get excellent results. Active study time is particularly important in the early stages of language learning.
Language exposure time is also very important. You could watch movies, read simple short stories, listen to audiobooks etc. This is quite simple to implement in your daily routine and you can easily add a few hours of extra practice every week. Why not change the default language on your phone, video games and social media? All these things can make a huge difference.
