Hello, I am a full Samoan, born and raised in New Zealand, in the best city, Wellington. I was raised speaking Samoan in our home, where it was strictly Samoan speaking after school, and on the weekends, I too struggled like most who were born outside of Samoa, but now I am an adult with children, and it makes sense why my parents really wanted us to learn the language. I teach my own children how to speak Samoan so they can understand the language when their older aunties, uncles, and grandparents speak to them.
