Hello! I'm Artem, an ethnic Korean born in Uzbekistan and raised in Russia and Kazakhstan. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Information Systems at a private American university in Kazakhstan and have had the opportunity to live in the U.S. and the U.K. during my exchange semesters. I am an IELTS holder with an overall Band 8.0, including scores of 9.0 in Reading, 8.5 in Listening, and 8.0 in Speaking. I also have some conversational Korean skills.
I am excited to teach English here in Seoul and share my multicultural experiences, language-learning tips, and strategies to help you reach a high proficiency level. Before university, I studied Foreign Philology, and I have been teaching English since 2019, both at private language schools and as a private tutor.
My approach to teaching English is structured and comprehensive, covering all key aspects—reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Occasionally, I also offer the chance to join me in exploring Seoul, adding a fun, real-life element to the learning process.
I look forward to helping you achieve your language goals!
I think Russian one of the hardest languages to learn with its Cyrillic alphabet and complex people, but I saw people (Americans and Koreans) who learnt it and speak very fluently. I believe if you have passion and goals, nothing can stop you from getting what you want. My international friends told me that it'd taken them 2-3 years to become proficient in Russian.
It might more challenging than learning Korean as there are fewer resources and native speakers in Seoul.
