Hi! I'm Pasha, a native Russian tutor

I teach students of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced learners — and I work with both children and adults, online and in a school setting.

I speak English and Chinese, so I can explain tricky grammar clearly, and for Chinese speakers, I can switch to Chinese whenever Russian feels too hard.

My lessons are built around you: your goals, your level, and your pace. Whether you need Russian for work, study, travel, exams, or just for fun, we'll create a plan that fits. We start speaking from the very first lesson — no boring theory, just real practice and grammar explained through simple, real-life examples.

I'm a language learner myself, so I know how scary it can be to speak. In my class, mistakes are always welcome.

I love languages, exact sciences, and sports. Book your first lesson — I'd love to help!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to learn Russian in Saint Petersburg?

Yes, Russian can be challenging — especially grammar (6 cases, verb aspects) and pronunciation. But it's absolutely learnable with the right approach and regular practice.

The good news: Russian has no articles (no "a" or "the"), and once you get the patterns, it becomes much easier. We'll speak from the very first lesson, and I'll explain grammar through simple, real-life examples.

With regular practice, most students make solid progress within a few months. You've got this!

How much time does it take to learn Russian in Saint Petersburg?

It depends on your goals, your native language, and how much time you practice. Rough estimates:

Basic conversation (everyday phrases, simple topics) — 3–6 months of regular lessons

Confident intermediate (comfortable daily communication) — 1–2 years

Advanced / fluent — 3–5+ years of consistent practice

The key is regular practice, not long hours once a week. Even 2–3 short lessons a week plus a bit of daily practice makes a huge difference.

With the right tutor and speaking from day one, you'll see real progress much faster than you expect.
