Hey there :) I’m a native Russian tutor based in Lisbon. I am deeply passionate about the beauty, complexity, and richness of my native language, and I am absolutely excited to share this passion with you!
I actually fell into teaching very naturally. It started with helping an American student grasp the absolute basics of the language, and he loved it a lot. Later, I began working with a British friend who wanted to keep her university-level Russian alive. Through our regular speaking practice, I watched her completely break through her language barrier and speak with real confidence. Seeing that progress was my 'aha' moment — I realized I have a real knack for this and absolutely love guiding people to fluency!
Now, I specialize in working with students who already know the basics (B1 level and above). Whether you want to start speaking actively, overcome the fear of making mistakes, or simply keep your current Russian skills sharp, you are in the right place.
What we will focus on:
- Active speaking: getting you talking as much as possible in a relaxed, supportive environment.
- Real vocabulary: learning natural collocations, idioms, and everyday expressions—not just dry textbook rules.
- Immediate application: using new words right away in conversation so they actually stick in your memory.
- Pronunciation: polishing your accent to help you sound more like a native speaker.
My teaching style is 100% personalized and flexible. We will work strictly on your specific goals, at your pace, and based entirely on your demands.
Whether we meet online or over a cup of coffee here in Lisbon, let's break that speaking barrier together! :)
Step 1: Invent a time machine.
Step 2: Go back to childhood and be raised in a Russian-speaking family.
Since that’s a bit tricky, the next best thing is to find a native speaker in Lisbon who loves their language, a good chat, and a great cup of coffee. Spoiler alert: That’s me! :) We’ll tackle the scary grammar and vocab together.
Easy?...Well, let's just say it’s a fantastic workout for your brain and your vocal cords! :) Russian definitely has a reputation for being tricky (and for good reason). But is it impossible? Not at all. With a good chat and lots of relaxed speaking practice, it's actually incredibly fun :) Once you stop stressing over dry textbooks and start actually talking, the logic clicks. It’s a beautiful puzzle, and we’ll solve it!
