Private Romanian Tutor in Milan and Online

Hello, everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚
My name is Dragos, and I am an international student living in Milan and studying Economics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University!
I am more than excited to become your Romanian language professor! I was born and raised in Romania and went through the Romanian education system. In high school, I started becoming increasingly interested in learning more about linguistics and the grammatical and structural differences of languages, which encouraged me to start actively learning new tongues and read books about the deep realm of linguistics.
Additionally, I have previous experience with children and adolescents, as I have been involved in multiple volunteering and humanitarian activities in high school. Even though I do not have previous formal experience in teaching Romanian, I believe my method of active communication will prove useful in helping you achieve your language learning target! During my class, we will focus not only on understanding basic Romanian grammar rules, but also on learning new vocabulary in a fun and laid-back way, discovering more about Romanian culture, and generally having fun!
Aside from Romanian, I speak fluent English and French, and currently hold a B1 level of Italian.
Excited to meet you! ( Astept cu nerabdare sa ne cunoastem :) )

Frequently Asked Questions

How easy is it to learn Romanian in Milan?

There is a large community of Romanians throughout Milan, however, there are not many opportunities for learning the language in a formal academic environment.

Is Romanian easy to learn?

Romanian is a relatively easy language to learn, since it falls into the branch of Romance languages, alongside French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Grammatical structures and rules are thus mostly similar to those of these other languages. Vocabulary is very similar to French, even though there is a large chunk of words and expressions borrowed from Slavic tongues. What Romanian learners oftentimes struggle with is the pronunciation of accents ( ศ›, ศ™, ฤƒ, รข), the existence of grammatical cases, as well as with a large number of idioms and familiar expressions.
