(Online Lessons Only) Hi there! My name is Rodrigo and I will be happy to help you achieve your goals, be it to communicate with Brazilian friends, travel, work, get a language certification, develop your child’s Portuguese language, or other reasons.

I am from São Paulo, Brazil, and I am presently living in Santiago, Chile. I am passionate about languages. I speak English and Spanish fluently and currently, I am studying Japanese (A2 level). I love discussing a great variety of subjects such as cultures, literature, music, and linguistics. I am also a musician and play a traditional Japanese instrument called the shamisen (influenced by São Paulo’s Japanese town).

I got my Bachelor of Arts degree in Portuguese and English in 2018 having now had 6 years of in-person teaching experience and 4 years of online teaching experience.

My goal is to develop your communicative competence in the Portuguese language, whether for professional, academic, or personal use and to familiarize you with the Brazilian culture.

My approach is student-centered learning, so we will build class formats that best suit your needs.

Resources used in our classes: textbooks, videos, songs, role-plays, quizzes, games, podcasts, apps, and much more.

I can help you with grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and conversation. We will talk about topics that are of interest to you, as well as articles that we will read together.

I offer materials for all levels and interests, such as general Portuguese, business Portuguese, academic Portuguese, Portuguese for kids and teenagers, idioms, presentations, prep for the Celpe-bras exam, pronunciation, and so forth.
