Hello! :)
My name is Juliana, I am Brazilian, graduated in graphic design, and have always worked as a fashion designer.
Currently, I live in Lisbon and for more than 3 years I've been teaching Portuguese to people who want to learn the language or to improve their Portuguese skills, with grammar and conversation classes, always teaching using subjects that the student is interested in so that Portuguese can be faster and more fun to be learned.
I have experience teaching students of different ages, from different countries, students from zero level to advanced level of knowledge about the Portuguese language, and with different learning needs.
In addition, we can have a schedule of classes according to how fast you need to learn the language.

It's beyond words how I feel thankful that I've met Juliana! I came to Lisbon and decided to take some Portuguese classes in the last week of my stay. I spent 12h with Juliana and with the speed of light, I could touch some of the basics that helped me open up and start speaking. During that week I met Juliana every day at the coffee shop, it was super easy to communicate with her and create a schedule that worked for both of us:D Juliana has a beautiful aura that makes learning so much fun! She's a very positive person, sharp-minded, with broad knowledge about different topics, with a lot of patience, a beautiful smile, and happy eyes :D
She's very attentive and corrected me whenever I make a mistake either while speaking or afterward. She would take notes of my common mistakes and then explain them referring to grammatical rules.
In our conversations, I was bringing up different topics that I was at the time interested in. These topics were related to the Portugees and Brazilian culture or just life:). She shared her perspective and explained to me so many things! She gave me books and music recommendations. I also asked her to have a possibility to read together some things and she brought a poem! That was the first time when I got moved at a language class because of a deep msg that was coming from that poem :D
Moreover thanks to her I could discover some extraordinary places in Lisbon.

Between sessions she goes the extra mile and takes the time to send exercises along with a thorough review of that week’s lesson. I can no longer meet with her in person, but I consider her to be such a fine teacher that we have arranged to continue our lessons by Zoom once I am back home in the U.S. Juliana is the best!
I love learning with Juliana as she helped me get comfortable speaking Portuguese during our sessions from day 1. With patience, exercises between our sessions and a lot of helpful ways to implement the language in my daily habits, I’ve made a lot of progress in just a month.

Juliana is an outstanding teacher. Patient and eager to share her knowledge, most importantly, flexible and open to the student's needs. I am quite demanding, being fluent in 5 languages and very specific about what I want to learn first. Just a pleasure, soft spoken, polite, but also fun. Só maravilhosa! Juliana is an amazing tutor. She is incredibly patient and adjusts her classes to suit your level. I have never been good at languages but in the short time we’ve had (6 weeks) I’ve gone from speaking literally 0 Portuguese to being able to hold conversations. She’s always super flexible with your schedule to suit your needs. Her personality is so fun that it doesn’t even feel like a class. It’s the highlight of my day when we have our classes together.
