I'm bilingual in French and Portuguese (European) native and I've been working for multinational companies here in Ireland for the last 8 years. My main job is to be a trainer on demand, providing in-company training. My professional expertise is related to customer service both in French, Portuguese, and English. I also provide training for GDPR, and internal processes within the company. All the new trainees joining the company will have a six weeks training period, plus recurrent/refresh training with us.

Despite the average opinion that Portuguese is a complicated language to learn, this is not accurate, anyone will be able to have a normal conversation/or corporate talk with a native Portuguese within 6 months. However, if the target is to be able to go through literature analyses and discussion...that will require several years (note that, even Portuguese natives will face issues regarding this matter).
