(ONLINE LESSONS) Hi there, my name is Paula, and I would love to be your Portuguese Tutor. I was born in Lisbon where I lived most of my life.
I teach Portuguese classes at Trinity College, with new and easy methodologies to learn the language. I am a "people person" with a clear preference for activities requiring human interaction.
An MSc-Hon Degree in Education Science combined with over fifteen-year teaching career, allowed me to develop both professional and soft skills that are very important in dealing with people of various age groups, in training and teaching environment.
If we start working together, not only will you learn the Portuguese language, but also about the Portuguese people, culture, history and geography.

Think of your favourite teacher and multiply it! Paula is quite simply the best teacher I have ever come across. She has taught me and my 2 sons (now 7 and 5) for the past 2 years. She has developed a genuine love of the language in my sons who adore her and her classes. Their Portuguese is thriving under her caring and considered tutelage. She keeps them challenged and interested and they fight to go first to her class. For me as an adult student the classes are interesting and engaging. She somehow manages to teach grammatical points while keep it light and even entertaining. I cannot recommend Paula highly enough. She has a genuine love of teaching, a fantastic way with children, a caring nature and a lovely person.

I have been taking lessons with Paula for over a year and thinks she’s an excellent teacher. The lessons are tailored to my level and particular topics I want to cover and I feel my Portuguese has improved a lot over the year. We moved our lessons online because of Covid and they are just as effective.
