Private Portuguese Tutor in Copenhagen and Online
I am a Brazilian Ph.D. student doing part of my degree in Animal Biology at the Natural History Museum of Copenhagen. I have experience as a Biology teacher and also as an English teacher. In 2010, I lived in Perth, Australia, for a year. After going back to Brazil, I started to teach English in private schools and I also had students doing private classes. That experience increased my English/Portuguese knowledge and improved my teaching skills. I have been here in Copenhagen since November last year.

How easy is it to learn Portuguese in Copenhagen?
The challenge level of learning Portuguese will depend on your background. Different from English, Portuguese is a romantic language with considerably more words. But to learn a language we do not need to be automatic dictionaries. To learn a language we need to know the basics and the ways of communication. Based on that, if you have one hour a day to dedicate somehow to the language, you will do great in six months. And also, if you have a Spanish background, it will come easier.
How much time does it take to learn Portuguese in Copenhagen?
If you dedicate yourself one hour a day of study and take Portuguese to your daily life, such as phone main language, series subtitles, music, and others, you will be able to do the basics in about six months.
