Private Portuguese Tutor in City of London and Online

I have lived in London for the past twenty-six years. I am originally from Brazil, where I grew up happily, but dreamed of speaking a different language. I sincerely cannot remember any reference to it. But I know that language has always been a strong interest of mine. I have studied English and Spanish academically and continue to learn through daily experiences.

Currently, I am holding a position in the education sector, where I have the opportunity to enhance daily communication skills by fostering positive and collaborative relationships. For the past twenty years, I have supported teaching and learning in primary schools within my local community. I enjoy planning lessons, personalising them according to different learning levels.
In my learning journey, listening has been the most important element of learning the language. So, I try my best to practise actively listening within the daily tasks and the maintenance of relationships. Definitely, good listening is the key to learning a language.

Apart from a teaching Diploma in Brazil acquired in 1999, I had little experience teaching primary-age children. After moving to London, I achieved an NVQ level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning - a City & Guilds certificate in London in 2012 while working full-time at a local primary school. It was an amazing experience which I learned a lot about how to adapt learning to each student's needs and abilities. Also, I completed a (Hons) BA in Modern Languages at Birkbeck University of London in 2022. Graduated with Honours in Spanish and English, achieving a grade of 2:1.
