Portuguese is a language that speaks to my soul
I am currently a university student who has a passion for music which I practice when I have some spare time. I want to tutor as a way of making extra cash but also to inspire other people. I enjoy speaking Portuguese as much as I enjoy writing in it, so I hope my students can share the same passion once we get to work. Portuguese is not an easy language. However, learning how to speak is a good way to start. Portuguese is special to me in an interesting way. I often say I wouldn't be the same without the language. It's because with a language comes a culture, and that culture becomes a part of you. I could never live without it.

Is Portuguese easy to learn?
No. Being a speaker myself I can certainly say that it is a challenging language when it comes to grammar, especially. A big difference I notice between a language like Portuguese and English is that English often has one word for something whereas Portuguese has many words for saying that same thing. These words aren't necessarily synonyms because some of them fit better in scenarios that others don't. Mastering these skills is a matter of practice.
Is it difficult to learn Portuguese in Cape Town?
It isn't difficult to the point where it's impossible, but it is to the point where it challenges you. However, once you master the grammar and start speaking it verbally, there is nothing that can stop you.
