I’m an experienced Levantine Arabic tutor with a background in Semitic Linguistics from the American University of Beirut and more than 5 years of teaching experience. I’ve worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities, helping them navigate the Levantine dialects for personal, cultural, and practical reasons.
My teaching style is structured yet flexible, focusing on pattern recognition, contextual learning, immersion, and progressive skill-building. For intermediate and advanced learners, I also offer access to a curated library of literature in Lebanese Arabic, including my own literary translations, along with interactive practice tools like verbs conjugators.
Having studied multiple languages such as French, Spanish, and Portuguese, I understand firsthand the process of learning a new language – from the initial hesitation to sense of clarity, confidence, and connection that gradually unfolds. My goal is to make your experience with Levantine Arabic rewarding, empowering, and deeply connected to the living culture of Lebanon and the Levant.
Learning Lebanese in Beirut can be easy if the learner is immersed in the language and culture, practices with native speakers regularly, and receives structured classes
In some parts of Beirut, locals tend to revert to English or French when communicating with foreigners which could potentially impede the language immersion efforts
