Tutoring for Latvian language
Private Latvian Tutor in Ljubljana and Online
Hello!
My name is Anna, I'm a part-time tutor of Latvian and Japanese, currently based in Slovenia. I have a BA degree in Japanese language and culture, but I have interest in other languages as well, including my mother tongue - Latvian.
I've been a tutor for about three years, during which I've taught various levels of Latvian using the student's preferred approach - following the main Latvian textbook material (Laipa), focusing on cases and grammatical structures, preparing for exams, etc. I also provide various self-made tasks, which include grammar practice, reading, as well as learning through culture, games, and music. I'd be glad to help any Latvian language enthusiasts, be it grammar exercises, simply conversing, or preparing for exams.
Other languages at my disposal are English (~C1), Russian (~A2, better understanding than speaking) and Japanese (N3~N2).

Is Latvian easy to learn?
Depending on your native language learning Latvian can range from average difficulty to quite challenging. There are a lot of rules for correct punctuation, as well as many different word endings that might seem difficult at first but with enough practice and exposure to Latvian, anyone can gain an understanding of the language.
Is it difficult to learn Latvian in Ljubljana?
It is easier to learn a language living in the country of interest, of course, but there is no reason not to try learning it from abroad as well!:)
