I’m a bilingual Korean-English tutor with a strong foundation in language instruction, translation, and cultural communication. Currently pursuing a double major in Economics and Art History at the University of Toronto, I bring both analytical structure and humanistic insight to my teaching approach. I’ve completed over 30 professional and volunteer translation projects, working with law firms, corporations like Hanwha and EY, and nonprofit organizations. This experience has sharpened my precision in both written and spoken Korean, as well as my ability to explain complex ideas clearly in English.
I’ve also taught Korean informally to peers and community members, tailoring lessons to fit individual goals—whether conversational fluency, grammar fundamentals, or reading comprehension. My background in customer service and project coordination has equipped me with the patience, adaptability, and interpersonal skills essential for effective tutoring.
Learning Korean in Toronto is accessible and rewarding. The city’s diverse, multicultural environment makes it easy to connect with Korean culture through food, media, and community events. My tutoring is communication-based, focusing on real interaction and practical expression from the very beginning. The easiest way to start is by mastering Hangul, then building vocabulary and grammar through consistent conversation practice and real-world exposure.
Korean may seem challenging at first due to its structure and honorifics, but with clear, interactive guidance and steady effort, it becomes manageable. Many learners reach conversational ability within months when supported by a communication-driven, structured learning environment.
