Hello! I am a native Korean speaker currently living in the San Jose area. I enjoy teaching Korean to students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to intermediate learners who want to improve their speaking skills.
Learning Korean can feel challenging at first, especially because of a new alphabet and sentence structure. However, Korean is actually very logical and systematic. With the right guidance, students can start reading Hangul in a short time and gradually build confidence in speaking and listening. I focus on making Korean easy to understand by explaining grammar step by step and using practical examples from daily life.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals. Some students want to learn Korean for travel, some for conversation with Korean friends or family, and others for cultural interest, such as K-dramas or K-pop. I adjust the lesson style and pace based on what works best for you. I also provide plenty of speaking practice so students can feel comfortable using Korean in real situations.
I am patient, friendly, and supportive, and I believe learning a language should be enjoyable and stress-free. Lessons can be held in person in public places such as libraries or cafes, or online if preferred. I look forward to helping you start or continue your Korean learning journey!
Learning Korean may seem challenging at first because of a new alphabet, but it is actually very logical and structured. With regular practice and guidance, students in San José can learn Korean effectively and enjoyably.
The time it takes to learn Korean depends on each student’s goals and study frequency. Many beginners can start reading Hangul within a few weeks, and basic conversation skills can be developed within a few months with consistent lessons.
