Hi, I’m Jaimi. I’ll help you start speaking Korean naturally and with confidence. Instead of memorizing textbook sentences, you’ll learn expressions Koreans actually use and how speech changes with the situation.
That Korean word, 기세, means having the energy and confidence to start before you feel completely ready. That’s the spirit I bring to my lessons.
I grew up in Korea and have lived and worked in the United States for more than 20 years. I can explain not only what a Korean expression means, but also when to use it and how it may sound depending on the situation and relationship.
My tutoring experience began with one-on-one English conversation lessons for Korean learners. I planned practical topics, guided conversation practice, and shared useful expressions after each lesson. I’ve also spent years mentoring university reporters and junior designers, so I listen carefully and adapt to each person.
In our lessons, we can focus on everyday conversation, travel, family communication, pronunciation, Korean culture like K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean food, or expressions that people actually use. I’m also learning Japanese and Spanish, so I know how vulnerable it can feel to speak a new language.
Outside of teaching, I’m a graphic designer and photographer who loves art, travel, and food.
In anywhere, the easiest way to learn a new language is to speak with someone and practice everyday.
Probably easy in Los Angeles but in Utah it is very difficult.
